On 27 January 2013, Bundaberg was engulfed by the worst flood in its history. The Road to Recovery commemorative bottle is a 5 year old rum, and is one of the rarest to be released by BDC. $60 rrp from the distillery on March 16 and retail sales stopped on Easter Sunday 2013. Limit 1 per person. All proceeds from the sale of the Road to Recovery bottles went towards flood recovery. The bottles featured the names of the flood affected streets across the Bundaberg region. Whittred St was reserved specifically for staff (and the small number of residents on the st).
